SYMPHONIC WIND ORCHESTRA

Exeter University Symphonic Wind Orchestra is a new wind ensemble at the University, also under the leadership of conductor, Tim Pithers, and is made up of students at the University, many of whom are also in EUSO. We perform three concerts a year with EUSO, and play repertoire from Hess, to Sparke, to Woolfenden.

We rehearse three times each term, typically two 2-hour rehearsals and then a longer project day with sectionals and guidance from Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.
All instruments are auditioned at the start of the academic year and while we recommend that musicians are grade 7+ or equivalent, anyone interested is encouraged to try out!
